COVID 19 become the pandemic for the whole world. Many people have died because of it. There are about 4,891,419 positive cases. About 320,137 people have died because of coronavirus. The first phase of the lockdown.


In India our honorable PM Shree Narendra Modi had declared the first lockdown for 21 days on 24 March. It is for 21 days. It was placed when India had about 500 cases. We also got a positive result also. It slowed down the doubling rate of the cases in the state from six days to eight days by 18 April 2020.

The Second Phase of the lockdown.


Since the number of cases was increasing so the advisory committee recommended extending the lockdown. The government of Odisha and Punjab had already extended the lockdown till 1 May 2020. Our honorable  PM Shree Narendra Modi had made a video conference with the ministers and got the suggestions and feedbacks and extended the lockdown. The second phase of lockdown was extended from 15 April to 3 May for 19 days in India. 

The third phase of the lockdown.


All the people had followed the lockdown but the cases were emerging. So on 1 May Government of India further extended the lockdown by two weeks from 4 May to 17 May 2020. The whole nation was divided into three zones Green Zone, Red Zone, and Orange Zone by the Government of India.  About 130 districts were in the red zone. The orange zone had about 284 districts. About 319 districts were included in the green zone. In the Red Zone, we found a high number of positive cases, and the high doubling rates of the cases, In Green Zone normal movement, is permitted. While in Orange Zone private and hired vehicles are allowed for transportation. 

The fourth phase of the lockdown.


And now on 17 May the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has extended the fourth phase of lockdown for two weeks. The lockdown 4.0 is from 18 May to 31 May. The Ministry of Home Affairs had issued general guidelines for lockdown 4.0. Our honorable PM Shree Narendra Modi had a video conference with the ministers of all the states. He advised them to make their own guidelines for lockdown 4.0 in keeping the state's conditions. 


The Chief Minister Gujarat Government Shree Vijaybhai Rupani has conducted a video conference on 18/05/2020 with the collectors of all the districts. In Gujarat, we have about 9,932 positive cases. About 4,035 people have recovered form coronavirus. About 606 people have died because of coronavirus. So while keeping in view the conditions of all the districts our honorable CM Shree Vijaybhai Rupani had announced the guidelines for lockdown 4.0 for Gujarat. 

The main high lights of the lockdown 4.0:

  • The whole state is divided into two zones, the contentment, and the non-contentment zone.
  • The curfew has remained as it is from 7.00 pm to 7.00 am.
  • There is a relaxation from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm at some places.
  • Schools, Colleges, Malls, Gardens, Cinema halls, Tuition Classes, Religious Programmes will remain closed.
  • Except for Ahmedabad, and Surat, only two passengers are allowed in a rickshaw.
  • Shops are opened by odd-even numbers.
  • Gujarat ST bus transportation is allowed but buses will not be allowed to go to Ahmedabad.
  • In marriage occasions, 50 people are allowed, in the funeral process 20 people are allowed.
  • Pan, Mawa, Tobacco shops are allowed to open.
  • Barbershops are allowed to open.
  • In Private cars only two passengers are allowed along with the driver, On two-wheeler only one person is allowed.
  • For restaurants only home delivery is allowed. A person who is going for home delivery his/her health checkup should be done.  
  • Hotels, Garages, Sops at the highway are allowed to open. 
  • A person who split in public or does not wear a mask is fine for Rs. 200.
  • There is a discount on 3 layered of a mask, and on an N95 mask. 
  • The price of 3 layered maks is 5 Rs. and N95 is Rs. 65.
