MHA Declared New Guidelines For Lockdown 5.0:


Ministry of Home Affairs has issued the fifth phase of the lockdown. It will get affected by 1 June. From Monday it will be continued. It will be continued from 1 June to 30 June.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, all the activities outside the containment zone will have been allowed to resume in different phases.  The guidelines will be effective from 1 June to 30 June.

The first phase of re-opening "Unlock 1" will have an economic focus. All the activities were prohibited earlier opened up in areas outside containment zones in a phased manner. Health Ministry's Standard Operating Procedures  (SOPs) have to be followed. 

Phase 1:


In the first phase religious places, and places of worship for public, hotels, restaurants, malls, hospitality services will be open from 8 June.

Health Ministry will issue SOPs for the above-mentioned activities in concern with the central ministers/ department and other stakeholders to maintain Social Distancing to avoid the spread of COVID 19.

Phase 2:


In the second phase, all the educational institutions like schools, colleges, coaching classes, etc will be opened after the consultations of the Union Territories and States.

State Government/UT administration has been advised for consultation at the instruction level with parents and other stakeholders. Afterward according to the feedback these institutions will be open in the month of July. MOHFW will prepare SOPs for these institutions.

All the restrictions on inter-state movement have been removed by the Home Ministry. The night curfew will remain in force from 9 pm to 5 am from 1 June.

The highlights of Lockdown 5.0: 

  • No pass is required to move fro one state to another state.
  • In the second phase, educational institutes, schools, and, colleges can be opened. The state government has to take the decision depending upon the condition.
  • No restrictions on movement anywhere in the country, One can move anywhere in the country.
  • Delhi Metro will not run at present. There will be a curfew from 9 am to 5 am.
  • Only 45 peoples can buy goods together from the shop.

  • Cinema Hall, Gym, and Swimming Pool will be closed.
