Recently, the Government of India increased the dearness allowance of central employees. Now following this decision, the Gujarat government has also announced an increase in the dearness allowance of state government employees. State government employees will now be given a 28 percent inflation allowance, up from 17 percent previously. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel made the announcement at a press conference here today.

Benefit from September salary

The state government has given good news to government officials, employees, panchayat officials, employees, and pensioners. The Gujarat government has sanctioned a combined 11 percent plus 28 percent inflation allowance. They will get this benefit only from the September salary.

State Government following Central Government

The Deputy Chief Minister said in a press conference that while the central government has announced an increase in the dearness allowance of central employees and started its implementation, according to the system, the Gujarat government has also decided to increase the dearness allowance of state government employees.

The finance department approved a 28 percent inflation allowance

He further said that the Gujarat government also always pays officers, employees, panchayat officers, employees, and pensioners. Until now, these people were paid a 17 percent inflation allowance. Recently, the central government sanctioned an expense allowance of 28 percent with an increase of 11 percent in July. Today, we have taken a decision from the finance department and it has also been approved by the Chief Minister. Accordingly, the Government of Gujarat will also provide an expensive allowance on the basis of the Government of India.
